Christmas Value Buy !

I decided to go a little frugal this Christmas! When I mean frugal I mean giving up the desire to buy expensive shoes, bags, accessories (but still buy the cheaper ones)  Last minute party invites can really put pressure on your girly brain and compel you to do things that you wouldnt have other wise. So I was forced into a corner to buy things looking back am not sure I really like them so much.

Christmas Crunch !

1- A half sleeve overlapping red top

(Price Rs 755, Golmaal Lokhandwala Complex)

Its comfortable, wearable. Can be dressed up or down but still doesn’t have a usp that will make it sell itself instantly. If you know what I mean.

2- A pair of pumps (this ones a good good value buy from Linking road street) All for Rs 450/ – sorry you can’t bargain at this store. I wanted a pair of black pumps since a long time, you know the ones that just go with anything.

3- A snug top for winter ( I picked this one from Wills. I must say they have upped the cool and chic quotient which was lacking for months. They are back stylish tops, well-fitted clothing, flattering forms and the colors are suited for the season)  All for Rs 1200/- this one will last you a long time. Its a printed top half sleeves but with kitted material.

So now am atleast set for the winter with my brand new tops and stylish pair of pumps which I must say am very proud of for obvious reasons.

Did you too bag a good bargain this season? Tell me all about it! Oh and before I forget! Happy Holidays Everyone ! 🙂

Chantilly Chic December 26, 2009

Do you have something in Chantilly lace? I never did until last year when I received an expensive Chantilly lace saree (It’s out of this world – you will love it) Chantilly lace has a very rich, classy and chic look. It’s extremely feminine, elegant and graceful. I wish I knew about Chantilly accessories a wee bit earlier and I would have added oodles of attitude to my saree. Veruschka shoes and handbags has some very delicate and dainty accessories designed with the pretty Chantilly lace lending them a classic charm to go with your most precious outfits. Take a look and you too won’t stop gaping at these. Payal Kothari is the designer who has created these attractive line of accessories. Log on to http://www.veruschka.in

Idiot’s guide to fashion !

Did you watch 3 idiots? Iam planning to watch it over the weekend. Now talking about the movie and the stars and gradually moving on to their spouses or should I say “spouse” in this case am leading to Ms. Kiran Rao Khan. I consider her to be one of the most well turned out women in the Indian entertainment industry. The geeky glasses and Sabyasachi’s outfits – the non-conformist wardrobe lends great substance and style to this woman.  The best part is you never know what she will wear next or how she will dress for a particular occasion ! Kiran on the style meter is way up. Her outfits are a blend of sophistication, intellectuality, simplicity, comfort, bohemian, no-nonsense yet very unusual, unique and individualistic. Agree? Disagree? I think she can easily pen down an Idiot’s guide to dressing in Bollywood. I don’t know about you but I would be the first person to get my hands on that book.

The end is near

No am not getting pessimistic. I mean to say the end of 2009 is near. 2010 is sure to bring a whole new world and wealth of experiences (I hope it does!) Another year has gone by and I still don’t have a tattoo and a piercing. It sucks. Either I get it done before 31st or I get it done the first thing the world enters 2010. Enough is enough! Too much contemplation is not good for anyone. If you want it get it now.

I know I have been away – the year end work has kept me on my toes (and more) but I have never stopped the scouting and shopping (can’t do without it. No I can’t) So I did come across a couple of interesting places and brands that you might want to give a shot! Mustang – a new German based brand has come into India. I spotted them at the Shoppers Stop at Inorbit Mall. It mostly had cool casual wear. Tees (Put up the pic of the tee I tried) that fit you a little below the waist (longish ones), jersey tops, tie-ups on the site and all. Very reasonably priced. Tees start from 499/- (Cheap as compared to other brands) They were quite well fitted and were excellent to wear day in and day out. Also now Charles and Keith is also available within the ShopperStop premises along with other assorted brands. Lastly, RIG Clothing (I love their army pants and cargo fittings so comfy I tell you!) at Sobo Central have some interesting collection of trousers. Please give the tees a miss. So that’s the update as of now. What are your plans for 31st? Rocking it but where? Tell tell ! I wanna know all you are upto, the clothes you are shopping for and where from. Until then, party hard but party smart. Hire a Phd http://www.partyharddrivers.com/ Call us at 6525-6521, 6525-6522 if you are planning to drink or better still leave your car and take a She cab (44 333 222).

Shoe you! December 22, 2009

And you can shoe me too! To elucidate further, am all gung ho about the shoe fair that’s happening at Shoppers Stop all this month. You know I bought all the sassy shoes last year and haven’t bought a single pair of shoes this year. Not cool. I must get myself something spectacular for Christmas or better still I should tell my friends to play Santa or perhaps I will get lucky and win myself a pair or two. Ok I maybe pushing it, until the pigs fly and all the above comes true, Iam just going to fix myself a glass of wine, grab my purse and head to the ShopperStop nearby to get myself a pair. How about you?
